Bright and early on November 5, 2005 we board an Air Jamaica flight.
We ended up sitting on either side of the aisle.
We get a brief look at the countryside as we ride the bus to Grand Lido Braco.
This picture shows the horrible plastic seats on the bus. What a great way to make the riders sweat.
Benia wanted this picture taken for the charm hanging from the mirror. It also happens to show that the roads were flooded in some places from the morning rain.

There are some impressive looking houses on the hillside overlooking the ocean.
There are also many more modest homes along the highway.
We arrive at Grand Lido Braco.
Our first stop is always Nanny's Jerk Pit. Unfortunately, it was under repair this year. The Jamaican food that they normally serve was available at La Pasta though.
My first meal started out with two Red Stripe beers, quickly followed by a third. Oh and I had the jerk pork and a beef patty as well.

When we arrived in our room the usual bed decoration was waiting. Unfortunately, the very strong odor of fresh paint also greeted us. We opened the doors to the balcony to air out the place.
We were once again fortunate enough to get a small suite with a separate living room.
We encountered a guy in the bar whose wife did not trust him to remember where he was staying. She wrote this message on his arm in case anyone found him: SEND TO ROOM 721 -SORRY. He was fairly intoxicated at this point in the evening.
Mitch, Teresa, Don, Benia. We met Mitch and Teresa the very first afternoon that we arrived. Here we are about to enjoy a special drink recommended by the bartender.
After dinner we like to go to the bakery for dessert. Don't forget the DiSaranno and coffee!

As our first night progressed, so did Don's drunkeness.
Benia finishes off her DiSaranno.
This interesting flower was growing in a garden outside the building where we were staying.
More towel art.
The piano bar in the center of Braco village is well stocked. We helped to drink every bit of Stoli on the entire resort. Going from bar to bar in search of another bottle, they eventually ran out... or at least that is what they told us.

Our nightly pre-dinner Cosmopolitan. Remember that they are better with premium vodka and Cointreu instead of generic triple sec.
Dinner at La Pasta. We really enjoyed hanging out with Mitch and Teresa. It is always nice to meet new people while on vacation.
Mitch is so happy to be enjoying a drink in the disco.
Benia is a two fisted dancing drinker.
Teresa and Don are feeling the tunes.
