Benia and I first met via the Yahoo! Personals.  We got to know each other by chatting online.  This was one of the first pictures I ever saw of her.  I thought she was cute right from the start. After several interesting online discussions, I was determined to meet her.  Benia was a little more hesitant...
Benia eventually decided that it would be safe to have lunch with me, so she travelled the few blocks to meet me.  We went to Panera and it sucked.  She wanted to see me go off on them, but I was on my best behavior.  Here is the first ever Don/Benia picture.  Note the lack of contact.
The weekend starting with 09/21/2001 was when things really took off.  We talked for hours.  I couldn't believe how much I had in common with this girl.  I decided to take another picture at this point just to make sure it was all real.
We did get closer as you can see in this picture.  Benia and I love to hug.
On our first lunch date, Benia warned me just before she was going to apply lipstick.  She didn't want me to get too excited by the erotic sight.  This picture is not from that day.  The warning didn't work, I was hooked.
Benia soon learned that I like to take pictures for no particular reason.  I snapped this one while we where sitting in Heidi.  Digital cameras are great for taking chances with pictures that might not turn out.  I like the way the flash lights up her face against the dark background.
We have so much fun together.  Here we are on the Metra train going to downtown Chicago.  Benia wanted to go to the art museum and I had never been.  We had a great time and perhaps became a little more cultured.  Although I feel cheated by "modern" art that consists of a few lines or splatters.
Benia can play a mean game of air hockey.  Look at that determined face.
Not only is she fun to go out and sing karaoke with, but she also gets along with my father.  Anyone who loves me has to be able to handle my unique family as well.
The fun never stops.  In August of 2002 we went to Wisconsin Dells.  This is a picture of us at Noah's Ark water park.  With all the big slides, it is ironic that we had the most fun on the "lazy river... oh so laaazzzy".
Benia and I are dedicated to staying in shape.  We are not workout fanatics, but I love that she will give it a shot with me.

We like to do everything together.  We can often be found working together in the kitchen.  I think I am making potato salad and she is whipping up some brownies.  We are preparing for our summer 2002 party.
