A quick count revealed that there were about 20 buckthorns in two groups. The amount of cutting necessary made me decide to buy a chain saw. I decided on a 16" McCullogh electric model. It was sufficient for the small trees I would be dealing with in Native Suburbia. Our yard is so small that an outlet is always convenient and it is much quieter than a gas powered saw.
