I cut up some of the brush to make a wood pile for the critters. Stacking it very loosely provides nooks for animals, like chipmunks to hide in. Insects will also appreciate the cover as well as the decaying wood. This will attract birds who enjoy a juicy bug as a meal. We are always planning our "landscaping" in a way that will be friendly to the animals.
