A top-down shot of the lonely looking starry campion (Silene stellata) that we planted in our backyard. The leaves are mostly in whorls of 4 but occasionally opposite, sessile, lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, 1.5 to 4.5 inches long, .5 to 1 inch wide, have finely hairy margins, and taper to pointed tips.
