The bat house did not serve as a home to any bats this summer. The wasps have been very tenacious in their attempts to establish a nest in it though. Sadly, I have been forced to evict them because we really want to encourage the bats to move in. I do not use poisons to discourage the wasps, which is probably why they keep coming back. I have a long thin stick that I use to knock the nest down. I keep hoping that the wasps will give up and try somewhere else.
