On a whim we decided to plant some vegetables in the sunny section where we had just smothered the lawn. I wasn't sure how they would do under these unusual conditions, but the plants only cost $8 on clearance so it was a cheap experiment. (Update: The bunnies never gave this a chance, as they constantly nibble the plants.)
